Originally from the USA, Danny is a decorated fighter pilot who began his career winning a “Top Gun” competition in the U.S. Air Force. Upon making Aliyah in 1979, Danny flew over 200 combat missions in the Israeli Air Force, including a strategic reconnaissance mission to Iraq for which he was awarded the IAF Commander’s Medal. With a degree in Psychology from Columbia and a Masters from Harvard in Public Administration, Danny managed the IDF’s Man-in-Combat program, researching human factors, including battle trauma.
Following his military career, Danny became Israel Director of the American Jewish Congress. Other activities include mentoring SpaceIL’s Beresheet Lunar Mission; advising Israel’s national baseball team (which reached the Tokyo Olympics); and working with the Aleph Institute to free Jewish and Israeli prisoners worldwide.
In addition to CMBM-Israel, Danny serves as a strategic consultant for clients such as Alan Dershowitz, for whom he hosted a weekly TV program. He has also produced two films for the History Channel.
Danny was recently awarded the Nefesh B’Nefesh Sylvan Adams Bonei Zion Award in the category of Global Impact for his contribution to Israeli society.
