"Helping the Helpers" Training

Training for therapists in the CMBM model, focusing on acquiring self-care tools. The training workshop can be conducted within the inviting organization itself. The training spans approximately 8 sessions, each lasting 3 hours, or alternatively, a 4-day consecutive workshop. After the training, participants can continue with group facilitation training and supervision from the organization's team of experts, allowing the inviting organization’s therapists to integrate the model into their practice.

The Goal: Therapist training in mind-body skills based on the CMBM model (The Center for Mind-Body Medicine), with an emphasis on small group work and self-care techniques. The training imparts an integrative group therapy model in the mind-body approach, focused on strengthening mental resilience, teaching coping strategies, and using group therapy as a means to promote healing, functioning, and well-being. This method is research-proven and validated for treating trauma symptoms, anxiety, and coping with life crises. The model advocates for strengthening mental resilience at both the individual and community levels and creating alternative communities. It should be noted that the training emphasizes enhancing the therapist’s own mental resilience, enabling them, with guidance and support, to impart the same skills that helped them to their clients.

Training Description: The training is based on participation in small group workshops, where participants experience various mind-body skills, utilizing group support and sharing. Additionally, the training includes lectures and hands-on experiences (which can also take place in larger groups) to provide theoretical knowledge of different mind-body skills.

Target Audience:  Therapists from a variety of therapeutic professions.

Receiving a certificate of participation in the program allows for participation in an advanced training program for facilitating mind-body groups according to the CMBM model.

Each participant will receive a complete workbook at the end of the training for personal and professional use of the tools acquired during the course.

Participant Recommendations:

"The conference was a dream for me... I haven't enjoyed myself like this in a long time... An oasis of sanity, love, peace, humanity, calm, and all the things we have all so desperately needed in the past few months..."

"Thank you so much for the opportunity to receive so much. As a therapist who is used to giving to others, this is a new space for me, and I want to express my heartfelt thanks to the amazing donors who thought of us – you’ve given us the strength to continue helping more people."

"It was well-organized in every way, the general facilitation team provided a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, and I truly felt that we were appreciated and that our work is valued. It’s very important to me that you're preparing a workbook with all the course materials, so we can continue using the exercises and content in our clinics. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."

"I would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the donors! Throughout the training, I felt the immense dedication of the entire team, along with the wonder and gratitude for the financial contribution that made it possible. Please know that your money is creating so much good in the world! It’s truly extraordinary and deeply appreciated – thank you so much."

"The facilitators, Naftali and Ayelet, were wonderful... professional, compassionate, humane, creating an atmosphere of acceptance and safety. They shined a light on various points that will continue to resonate within me..."

"The facilitators, Ronit and Bergi, are amazing, professional, and humane. They provided a sense of security and support that allowed the group to reach deep, meaningful, and healing places."

"A huge thank you for your generosity. It was incredible, especially in times like these when the complexity of human emotions is so present."

"Well done!!! There is hope!! You are inspiring, keep spreading goodness in the world!!"

"First, I want to thank you and all of you for the generosity that is far from being taken for granted. In these times, when most of us are experiencing a certain degree of helplessness, this approach, which emphasizes the ability to choose and take responsibility for my well-being within the circumstances, allowed me to practice self-care through listening and compassion. I would add that working in small groups, although very intense for me due to the tight schedule, provided a safe space of belonging where I could choose if, how much, and when to share without fear of criticism or judgment."

"I highly recommend the CMBM methodtherapy for therapists through small groups that provide space for true and unique self-healing for therapists. The method is unique and different from other mind-body training programs for therapists in that CMBM focuses solely on the therapists’ own healing, not as another professional training like the other programs I’ve attended in this field... The opportunity to be in a genuine space just for me and not as just another professional training in this or that method. The experience is profound and powerful, leaving a lasting impact and giving me more space to breathe, both as a therapist, a mother, and a person. The CMBM teama professional and humane team that truly believes in what they do. I highly recommend embracing this method and passing it on to as many therapists as possible."
