Self-Healing Workshops for a Healthier World

Who Are We?

The Center for Mind-Body Skills Training is a non-profit organization specializing in the training, implementation, and treatment using the CMBM model — an integrative group therapy method based on the mind-body approach.

The center offers training for therapists, therapeutic groups, and self-healing workshops for 7/10 victims and other populations, based on self-directed mind-body work in a group setting.

Vision

To provide effective mental health support to , addressing the acute needs arising from recent traumatic events and ongoing challenges in Israel. We aim to equip mental health professionals in particular and the general public with proven self-care techniques, fostering nation-wide resilience and healing.

Challenges

The atrocities of October 7th, ongoing warfare, and hundreds of thousands of evacuees from their homes.

The acute need for mental health support in Israel.

Shortage of mental health professionals.

Burnout and secondary trauma among therapists. In response to these challenges, particularly the widespread need for self-healing tools following the October 7th atrocities, our organization is actively developing partnerships with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Welfare, Resilience Centers, Ministry of Defense, and relevant Knesset committees. These collaborations aim to extend our reach and provide crucial support to a broad segment of the population.

Solution

Training, implementation, and treatment using the CMBM model – an integrative group therapy approach based on mind-body techniques, focused on strengthening mental resilience, teaching coping strategies, and utilizing group therapy work as a means to promote healing, functionality, and a sense of well-being. The model, developed by Dr. James Gordon, has been implemented for nearly three decades across the U.S. and globally, and is supported by scientific research confirming its effectiveness (Evidence-Based Research). The model has been proven to help restore balance in stressful situations, manage trauma and post-traumatic symptoms, foster personal resilience, and prevent burnout and secondary trauma among therapists. The Center in Israel operates in collaboration with the international American center (CMBM), which has trained the faculty members since 2004 in the methods it developed.
